My name is Pumpkin and I am a pure bred Elkhound girl that is looking for a special Elkie loving family to adopt me. I am part of a dying breed that is not being seen much in the U.S. anymore. My breed traits are very special and we are very laidback and easy going dogs that are totally dedicated to our owners. I am a casual girl that gets along with other dogs and I enjoy their company. I am 4 years old, 55 pounds and I was part of a breeder farm that kept all of us outside in kennels which was very hard on us. We were never given the nice things in life and never taken off the property and shown how to act outside our birthplace. The good news is that I have blossomed so much from my shy ways since I left that overcrowded farm. Since I have broken away and gone to a Critter Cavalry Rescue foster home who is helping me find the right home that will continue to give me time and patience to continue to blossom and gain lots of confidence to do all sorts of things outside my backyard and home. I love being in the house now and I am housebroken. I walk pretty well on the leash and the more you take me on walks, the more I will gain extra confidence and will be more easily trained. I am a pretty girl and I love life so much more now. If you are interested in adopting me, please contact Critter Cavalry at ccrtennessee@gmail.com
PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted. Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site. The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive. Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
