My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are looking to rehome our very loving 6.5 year old Australian Retriever as it is no longer safe to have him in our home with our toddler and newborn.

For background, our Australian Retriever, Hunter, has been a wonderful part of our family. Unfortunately, a little over a year ago, he did snip at our 10 month old. We kept them separated and worked on reintroduction over time per our vet's recommendation and spoke with a behavioral therapist, always monitoring them constantly. Unfortunately, he did snip and growl again at our 2 year old recently and we do not feel comfortable continuing to have him in our home with 2 small children. He is an amazing dog for those without little kids and we are hoping to find him a loving home that can be a better fit for him.
