My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Wrangler!

My start to indoor life isn't what most would call typical. I was a stray kitten who was found under a Jeep Wrangler- which is how I got my name! I am quite proud of it as it is important to my story and who I am!

I immediately went to foster with one of our super-experienced foster homes who work with kitties who are a bit nervous. There I was able to come out of my shell on my own. I went to another super experienced foster who was able to give me one-on-one care.

My foster was patient waiting until I was ready to express my true kitten self, and indeed I did! I found out that I REALLY like dogs and other kitties (but especially dogs!). I was able to play with one of my foster doggy brother and say hi to a foster brother kitty. I'm not quite sure how to do the whole play thing, but I'll get there.

Things that I like:

- Treats! I prefer lickable treats

- Other animals

- Splashing in my water bowl (a water fountain would be so cool!)

- Shredding cardboard

- Running around playing with toys

- Calmer and quieter environments

- To brush my body against my people

Things I don't like:

- Loud and rambunctious environments

- Hands over my head to reach towards me when I'm not ready

- Flying (being picked up)

- Stew wet food (pate only- okay maybe some stews)

If you think I am the right kitty for you, I would love to meet you! I will probably be a bit reserved for a little bit as I settle in and decompress into a new environment. I prefer to have my own smaller space for a little bit in my new home as I get to know you.

Wrangler is an All-Star cat! My adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption! His adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and he will go home with a few enrichment goodies to help get her off to a good start! To schedule an appointment to meet Wrangler, email info@ahconnects.org (please include your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to help you! Our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of
our participating veterinarians.
