Meet Dolly! This super sweet, pocket bully is as cute as can be, and has never, ever skipped shoulder day at the gym in her life. Dolly is a brave little lady that has come a long way with love and lots of treats. She is a sweet girl, that just wants to relax close to her people. Dolly has very low energy needs- give her a bone to chew on for a minute or two, and then she’s back to snoozing or coming close for pets.
A former back yard breeder mama dog, Dolly can find the world to be a little overwhelming, and will often pancake in new surroundings or with new experiences. We have 1 year old and 4 year old children, and while she does well with them, the miserable level of noise they produce can be scary for her, so a quieter home would be best.
Dolly loves to be in her crate (it is her safe place), and has not made a peep when in it. She has not been destructive in our home when left to free roam. She is 85% potty trained, and with frequent potty breaks, generally does not have accidents. She is not a fan of our resident female Great Dane’s size/energy level, but has lived with dogs in the past, and I think could coexist with a chill dog.
Dolly enjoys roaming around our tiny backyard, but finds the outside world to still be too scary for walks. If on leash, she will do her business, then wants to go back inside. I doubt she has much experience even going for walks from her past life. She also can find stairs a little scary at first, and sometimes will demand to be carried (there might be a touch of a stubborn streak in there as well). With lots of treats, she is now going up to our second floor independently. Dolly will need a patient home that will continue to work on building her confidence, and she will reward you with lots of love and adorable snaggleteeth.
