Howdy folks, my name is Kipper and I am a very friendly little Border Terrier mix about 3 years old, 18 lbs and I was basically living on the street, but in my owner's neighborhood. After repeatedly being almost hit by a car and having their vicious German Shepherd killing puppies in my backyard, some good samaritans asked if they would surrender me to a dog rescue, and they did! Woohoo, that was a lucky break indeed and now I’m living it up in my foster home without a worry in the world, except for when I was neutered last week, LOL! I’m playing with all my new doggy friends and met all the new people on picture day and I’m hearing I will get better owners who actually love and care about me! Win-Win!
My foster mom thinks I’m the best little dog because I’m always happy and wagging, I get along great with everyone, I play nicely with my doggy friends, I rarely bark, I don't guard my food or toys and I am housebroken. I love affection and didn't get any from my owners so if you don't mind 18 lbs in your lap, then I’m a lap dog, soaking up all the pets and snuggles and kisses I had always dreamed of! I also love going for walks on a leash and love going for rides in the car, but I’m not in love with being kept in a crate, but who would be? I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little dog like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my new life started! Inquire about me today!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
