Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Shaggy, a delightful and spirited dog who lives up to his name with his shaggy fur and cheerful personality. Shaggy is eager to find his forever family and bring joy into their lives.
Shaggy's story began as a stray, and unfortunately, he was hit by a car before ending up at the local pound. Thankfully, his injury didn't require TPLO surgery as he wasn’t in pain. While he compensates for his back leg by holding it close to the other when he runs, this doesn’t slow him down one bit!
With a love for play and a friendly disposition, Shaggy enjoys the company of other dogs. He can often be heard using his voice to encourage playtime with his pen mate or neighboring dogs. Shaggy is a high-energy dog who is always ready for fun, though he’s still learning to take cues from his playmates when he gets a bit too enthusiastic. After an energetic play session, Shaggy loves cooling off in his swimming pool and then rolling in the dirt—he’s quite the fan of getting dirty!
While Shaggy hasn't had formal training, he has the potential to thrive with the right family. He’s still very much a big puppy at heart and will benefit from an active family committed to his training. Shaggy will need 2-3 walks per day, combined with playtime and canine enrichment activities. His new family should be prepared to work on basic training and leash manners to help Shaggy reach his full potential.
If you're looking for a playful, energetic companion who’s ready for adventure and full of love, Shaggy might just be the perfect addition to your family!
