Meet Duke, this brindle stud is so much more than meets the eye. Landing in the county pound along with his sons and a few other dogs, these boys were headed for euthanasia when our partner just couldn't bear it, knowing how long they had sat waiting and having truly bonded with the local dog catcher and his wife.
Despite his large size, Duke is a laid-back and ultra-friendly guy. He has stolen the hearts of many and quickly bonds with anyone who gives him attention and has shown a gentle and affectionate nature around children. Duke enjoys his time with kids, especially those aged 8 and up.
Duke walks well on the leash, and with consistent practice, could become an expert. He loves to sniff and explore and has recently discovered a love for swimming in the pond! Duke would make an excellent companion for cottage trips or hiking adventures.
