Meet George, the only male among his siblings. Sadly dumped at a very young age, George and his siblings are now ready for full, happy lives thanks to our partner. Unfortunately, like many other black dogs, they have been overlooked time and time again. Now fully grown but still very much puppies, these beauties are ready to find their happily ever after.
These lovable Shepherd/Labs are so happy to meet new people and canine pals. Their carefree and playful personalities make them a lovely fit as family dogs. They have never experienced a life indoors, so patience and time to decompress are expected while they adjust to their new and very different surroundings. They may seem shy at first as everything will be a huge change. A home with another confident dog can provide comfort in showing them everything is going to be just fine.
George lives alongside his sister Fran, happily playing all day. He tends to be the leader and, when separated from her, he tries to reassure her that all is alright. He would likely thrive as a second dog but should do just as well solo as long as his family continues to help build his confidence and provide opportunities for making new canine friends.
George’s future family should be committed to training from all the basics: house training, crate training, mastering leash walking, as well as other basic commands. Routine and boundaries will also aid in his success. Play-based training will also aid in building an everlasting bond. True to their breed, they are eager to please their humans and will form a strong and loyal bond with their people. Endless love and snuggles will be a daily part of your future together, and we cannot wait to see George transform in his forever home.
