Meet Cali, a gentle soul with a heart full of love. His prior owner was sad to be unable to keep him but informed us Cali is the sweetest dog. Cali has lived with children and other dogs in his prior home, doing well with both. However he can be a bit fearful with loud noises so may prefer a quieter home. Cali's current foster says he's got a sweet and mellow demeanor and a delight to be around. Cali's shy nature is endearing, as he warms up to you slowly, but surely, creating a bond that's unique and special. He is a loyal companion who will bring a sense of calm and happiness to your life.

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
