My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jefferson is the world's best lap kitty! He has a soft spot for cuddling in his human companion's lap and will remain there for a long period of time. When Jefferson is not in your lap, he searches for rays of sunshine to sunbathe. Jefferson will reach out to you when he wants to be picked up and he lets you know when he is ready to put his paws back on the ground. His chosen toy is a fuzzy mouse that rattles. Jefferson will zoom around the room and has fun chasing string type toys. His ideal home is with an individual, couple or family with older children; a home where he finds entertainment on the floor, restricted use of stairs, minimal rough housing and limited to no jumping from furniture, cat trees, etc. Jefferson should do okay with calm and easy-going cats; he enjoys being around his littermate Washington. Jefferson is accustomed to being in the company of multiple cat-friendly dogs. He is an orange spotted tabby with white and has enchanting eyes. As of October 2024, Jefferson is 5 months old. Jefferson has experienced fractures of the humerus simply by jumping from low height. He has very fragile bones related to bone abnormalities. His fractures have healed but he now has luxating patella in both knees! The treatment plan for Jefferson is a balanced diet supplementing with vitamins. If it is determined that the kneecaps are permanently out of place, he will need surgery in the near future.
