My name is Shale, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home—a family...to call my very own!
I’m a youngster of around 9 months old and a well-balanced, social gal who loves living life to the fullest. I’m loving, active, and playful, which means I’ll need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to help keep me happy and healthy.
I absolutely love the river, swimming and splashing to my hearts content. I also know a few basic commands like sit, walking well on the leash and coming to you when called.
I have a sweet nature and get along well with people of all sizes. I also get along great with the other foster pups, though I haven’t met any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet.
I weigh about 45 lbs and am the perfect size for all your adventures. Whether you need a companion for daily activities or a spirited sidekick for nature trails, I’m ready to go! I can’t wait to be that heartbeat at your feet, showering you with love and those adorable butt wiggles and tail wags!!
With my affectionate personality and adorable face, I’m that pawsomely fabulous family member you’ve been waiting for. And guess what? I’m eagerly waiting for YOU too!!

Hay Dude Equine Rescue, in Boerne, TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs, are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
