My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Lancer Oliver Cross. We think his mom is a Jack Russell Chihuahua mix and dad is some sort of hound. He is a roly poly who likes to throw his weight around. He loves to play and would do well with another dog who can show him the ropes. At 8 pounds, Lancer is happy being with people and dashing about underfoot. We don’t think he will be very big - maybe 25-30 pounds.

ADOPTION CONSIDERATIONS: Because of Lancer's currrent size, it is important that someone is home with him for the first few months to let him out every 3-4 hours for potty training, companionship, and feeding. We do not recommend him for families with children under the age of 8.

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
