Here's what the humans have to say about me:
·Intake Reason: Transfer from down south due to Hurrican Helene -Weight: 36 lbs
Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: Unknown
Hi there, my name is Pilot; true story, I was actually on an airplane with another pilot who was flying the plane. A while back some brutal storms were sweeping through the southern states so a bunch of us who were in shelters hopped aboard a transport heading north to make room for displaced pups. I have an adventurous spirit so I was very happy to be making the trip to WCHS where I could see new places and meet new people. I have an exquisite coat and am quite an enchanting girl. I also have a spectacular nose and love to explore. I will need plenty of physical and mental exercise to keep me happy and healthy; it would be grand to be your loveable sidekick. I am just a youngster so there are many things I still have to discover and I would love to be with you as I learn about the world. Speaking of learning, it would be great to take some classes with you so I am introduced to basic manners and perhaps even participate in canine sports, nose work or dog parkour. Taking classes and training with you would be a fabulous bonding experience, too. I am mostly grown but should get a little bigger as I become an adult. I also know I have to practice something called house-training so I know proper potty behavior. A routine, lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I use the outside facilities. I thoroughly enjoy tender scratches, cuddles and pats; I hope lots of snuggling is in our future. If you think I sound charming on paper just wait until you meet me in person; it may be love at first sight. #2

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
