Here's what the humans have to say about me:
KAELIE / 1yr 2mths / Female / 26lbs / Mixed Breed / Originally from Tennessee / Fostered near Peterborough
Good with dogs / Not tested with cats or kids / House and crate trained
Hello world, meet Kaelie! This little beauty is a very sweet and special pup with an amazing super pup power who is ready to start her next chapter! She hopes that after a rocky start to life she can find the perfect forever family of her own!
Kaelie was abandoned with her siblings in rural Tennessee and she’s still getting used to the big wide world! Although a wallflower once you earn her trust she is a loyal fun cuddly companion. Her shy demeanour and sensitive heart requires her to often need time to observe before engaging but then she is all in! And with her perfect perky ears and soulful eyes it’s hard not to fall for her at first sight!
Now to her super pup power: While cautious around people, she lights up and is the life of the party with other dogs! Her engaging playfulness is infectious and she has the unique ability to get anyone to play. This lil social butterfly currently resides with little, handicapped and big dogs and is everyone’s go to for fun times! Her antics are sure to make you smile and warm your heart. After a good play session she is happy to curl up with her besties and her people!
With other people, Kaelie will need your help to build up her confidence. The world is still such a scary place to this wee gal. Once she’s warmed up to you she’s oodles of fun and would love to show off her zoomies in a fully-fenced yard. Kaelie also needs a confident and playful resident dog - maybe your resident dog was once a shy pup too and can help show her the ropes!
Kaelie thrives off routine, and would do best in a quieter, relaxed environment, in a home outside of any busy city areas. She loves to go on walkies, especially on nature trails, and can be left at home alone happily in her crate when you need to go to work. If she has kid siblings, she’d prefer them to be a little older and know how to respect her space. Working with a trainer would also help Kaelie progress - she is very smart and with the right guidance picks things up quickly and is proud to show off new skills!
Kaelie is an amazing little dog with a ton of potential. With patience and time you will build a bond like no other and she will show you how a true diamond in the rough can shine! https://caninehaven.org/dog-application/
Spayed / Microchipped / Up to date on vaccinations
