My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A SWEET  KITTY:  Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 16 lbs.

Hello, I’m Flapjack!  I was adopted from Mostly Mutts several years ago as a kitten, along with my sibling Biscuit.  Unfortunately, our family situation changed, and we are now back with Mostly Mutts.  We have been settling in to our great foster home and certainly appreciate all the love and attention we are receiving.  Plan to meet me soon!

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS:  I have lived with my sibling for the last seven years, and we are good friends.  Neither of us have been fond of the cat that lives in our foster home.  My foster says we would be a great pair to adopt together, but – if not – we would likely be best as your only kitty. / I have not officially met the dog in my foster home, though my previous owner said I liked some dogs I had met.  It likely will depend on the dog, but if you have a kitty-friendly (or kitty-tolerant) doggie at home, let’s have a careful introduction and see if we can be pals. / I like the kids in my foster home (ages 4-16) and enjoy the attention I get from them.  I DO currently run off when the younger children are playing loudly, but my foster feels I would adjust fine to children in my new home.

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION:  Understandably, I didn’t understand why I was losing my home, so I was shy when I first arrived in my foster home.  It took me a little longer to come out of my shell than my brother, but after patience from my foster, I now readily accept petting and will purr with appreciation.  I’m a sweet and loving kitty who is ready to bring lots of joy to my new home.

• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS:  I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I now like to approach people for petting and will rub against you and purr to get your attention for some love.  My brother and I have been together since we were kittens, and we spend time cuddling together.  Though not required, we would love to be adopted together and continue our great friendship, while showering you with twice the kitty love.  I will settle into a loving home, so give me a bit of time to adjust, and I will reward you with lots of kitty love. / I can’t think of any dislikes since I am a kitten, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve!

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, combo tested negative and neutered.

I am looking for a great family to give me a loving home!  My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
