Sloane’s story is one of resilience and second chances. After spending a year in a rural South Carolina shelter with no interest from potential adopters, her fate seemed sealed when she landed on the euthanasia list. Her previous owner, once located, chose not to reclaim her, having lost interest upon learning she had been spayed. But just when her future looked bleak, a volunteer stepped up in a big way—offering to pay for Sloane to attend a board and train program, giving her the opportunity to grow and prepare for her forever home. Thanks to this generous act, Sloane’s life was saved. Now, we’re eagerly waiting for her to find the loving family she truly deserves, one that will never give up on her. We're still learning about Sloan but so far we have learned that she is VERY SWEET and has a lot of energy to burn from being kenneled for a year. She loves to run and play and has done great with a male dog she has met outside in the yard. She can't wait to play with him every day. She is learning so much right now and is thriving with training. She is super affectionate and loves to be petted and will follow her person around the house all day if you let her. At 2.5 years old, she will need a committed adopter who will continue her training to help her continue using all her skills she is building.
