My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parsley is sophisticated and always neatly groomed in his orange tabby coat. Never a hair out
of place. He will sit and observe what you’re doing before the rumble of his purr begins. With
slow movements of your hand, he thinks pets are a cool thing, and don’t forget to give cheek
scratches; he loves them! He is a professional biscuit maker with those front paws.

Parsley is about 5 months old and has been raised with cats and dogs. He will thrive in a quieter home with no kids. He loves tumbling and playing chase with the other cats in his foster
home so having a kitty friend in his new home is a must. His confidence with people and living in a cozy home setting has grown by leaps and bounds. He is very vocal too and will let you know when he is ready for his canned food and the most recent events of the house,

Parsley often sits on the back of the couch looking out the window to study all the wonders of
the outside world. Having been born outside he still yearns to smell the fresh air and feel the
ground under his feet so he will need a safe yard to spend time outside with his family on those
summer days.

He is in Palmer and ready to walk into his next adventurous home with his new
forever family. Please call 907-350-8089. Thank you!

Their adoption process

1.

Interview

Once you see a kitty you like either on our website or any of the social media, call us for a quick screening.

2.

Meet the Pet

If your interview goes well, we will have you arrange a meeting time with the kitty's foster.

3.

Home Check

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once you meet the kitty, if you and the kitty are a good fit for each other, then you will sign the contract and pay the adoption fee.

5.

Pay Fee

6.

Take the Pet Home

You will need a carrier when you are meeting your potential kitty, because you will need something to take it home in. :)

Additional adoption info

We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Due to the pandemic, most of our adoptions are done virtually. Some of our cats are also available for adoption from their foster homes.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2017, we rescued and rehomed approximately 500 cats.
