My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Annabelle was brought in by a community member on October 8, 2024.

Why Mango is the one for you:
Meet Annabelle, the gal with a face that will melt hearts! She's got the energy to match your weekend plans-whether it's hitting the trails, exploring the neighborhood, or making pit stops at your favorite coffee shop (she'll take a puppuccino, please). This adventure-ready dog is always up for a new challenge and a good sprint! While Annabelle's zest for life is undeniable, she's also mastered the art of relaxation. After a busy day, you'll find her curled up in the coziest spot she can find, probably dreaming of her next escapade. Think of her as your ultimate partner in crime, equally skilled at napping and navigating the great outdoors. So, if you're looking for a dog that's as ready to roll as you are, grab that leash and come meet Annabelle. She's packed and waiting for her next adventure buddy!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
