My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Mango was brought in by a community member on June 19, 2024.

Why Mango is the one for you:
Meet Mango, a sweet and friendly girl whose tail is constantly wagging! Mango has a gentle personality and loves human companionship. She has also gotten along well with dogs in our care and while going on community outings. Mango walks great on leash and loves to sniff around. She also will gladly cuddle up in your lap for snuggle time and belly rubs! When she's feeling frisky, she likes put on a show by tossing her stuffed toys in the air. Mango is the perfect mix of mellow with spurts of goofy playfulness! If you'd like to make a difference in the life of an adorable dog with an infectious smile, Mango is ready to fill your home with love. Come meet her today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
