A few days ago, I found this male kitty who's been roaming the parking lot and woodsy area in Vista. He seemed hungry, so I got some trust giving him food and treats. Best decision ever! He blossomed quickly and showed his true colors of being extremely cuddly, very affectionate, super docile. He's never growled, bitten, hissed, or exhibited any negative behavior.
Took him to the SD Humane Society and he's confirmed to be ~2yrs old, no microchip. Is now neutered, vaccinated, and flea treated. We think he belonged to someone and was dumped, but SDHS still will not take him.
I'm watching him while he's still woozy from surgery, but beyond this, I absolutely cannot keep him and I'm beyond devasted about it. I am moving in 2 weeks across the country with a hard no additional pets allowed.
I've been reaching out to rescues, shelters, and have posted him everywhere.
I just want him to have his best chance at life because he's got way too much love to give and is a lovely little guy.
