Hera is a gorgeous girl who was found living behind a barbershop with her five kittens. She was an amazing mama who is quite young herself - our vet estimates no older than 2 years old - so she’s both nurturing and playful with her babies. She has the most unique striped whiskers and trilling meow. (She loves to talk!)
She does still have some of those protective maternal hormones since it can take a few months for them to leave her system after she’s spayed, so she’s a little nervous with people but you can tell she’s a love bug under there - she head butts your legs constantly, loves to make figure-eights around your feet, and chirps in her unique little voice whenever she wants your attention. Hera just needs an experienced cat owner who can give her the time and space she needs to settle in. (The nervous element may also be in large part because the foster home she’s in has other adult cats she can smell and hear, so it may be much less of an issue if you don’t have other animals.)
She does love her kittens and we’d love it if she could go home with one of them…(https://www.petfinder.com/cat/artemis-73021926/ca/oceanside/meow-or-never-inc-ga915/ & https://www.petfinder.com/cat/athena-73021917/ca/oceanside/meow-or-never-inc-ga915/ & https://www.petfinder.com/cat/ares-73021911/ca/oceanside/meow-or-never-inc-ga915/)
Hera is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, flea-free, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Email meoworneverrescue@gmail.com and/or complete an application at meowornever.org/adopt to learn more and schedule a meet-and-greet!

Meow or Never is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Atlanta, GA (with a small off-shoot in Oceanside, CA) that works to help stray and feral cats and kittens through humane TNR (trap-neuter-return), or adoption into loving homes when returning or relocating is not possible.
We are an all-volunteer group committed to community outreach and education, promoting low-cost spay/neuter programs readily available for domestic and community cats.
Although our main focus is spay/neuter, we inevitably come across young kittens or strays in need of help. We nurse those back to health (or in the case of kittens, keep them healthy as they grow), and when they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, we then look for loving forever homes.
