It is heartbreaking to make this post. Ritchie has found himself available again. His adoptive mom had to make the emotional decision to return him to us when she lost her home to Hurricane Milton. She could not find housing to keep him with her and friends and family have cleanup and damage and could not help so we received him back again.

She wants nothing best for him and said he is so perfect. We already knew that! Ritchie is a young neutered male mix pup. He attended Pawsitive Kids camp this summer and started working on his puppy manners, which he has kept up with since being adopted.

Additional adoption info

We require you to submit an on-line adoption application to meet any of our available pets!
Once you submit your application, it will be processed by our board of directors. We will contact you if approved, to set up an appointment for an interview. At that time you will meet the pets you are interested in and if all goes well, you will be given the opportunity to adopt and take your new family member home with you!

Fees vary depending on breed and age.

All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered before they are adopted, current on vaccinations, treated monthly with Heart Worm and Flea & Tick Preventatives. Most pets are micro-chipped. And pets will be professionally groomed before they are adopted!

Brooke Ashley Miller is the reason for Brookes Legacy Animal Rescue Team. She has given so much in her life, that we want to give some back.

On Brooke's 18th birthday, she was driving to her grandparents house for her party. She was involved in a tragic accident that ejected her and her 7 week old puppy, Mia from her truck. Mia has fully recovered from her head trauma, despite a few scars. Brooke was flown to a Florida trauma center for severe head injuries. She underwent two separate emergency brain surgeries, and after exactly seven days in a coma, she passed away.

She lived every day to the fullest and always found the good in everything and everyone. One of her greatest loves was animals. She was an avid barrel racer for nine years with her much loved Quarter Horse, Red Dawn.

Brooke was actively involved in The Happy Trails 4-H Club, worked at Pat's Kids, AppleBee's as a Hostess, and at the New To You Consignment Shop. She also worked at her mom's grooming shop, Groomingdale's Of Naples. Brooke was attending Edison Community College at age 16.

Brooke has two younger brothers, Mason and Colton, and one younger sister, Cheyenne. They are all following in Brooke's footsteps with their love of animals.

Brooke is, and will always be, remembered for her love of life. Her love of children, and her love for animals. Brooke is in the hearts of all of us.
