If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Petey was adopted at 6 months from a prior owner. He is now 9 years old. He currently resides with a golden retriever and does great with her. His attitude towards other dogs varies depending on the dog. He has food and toy preferences but has done well with our dog and other family members dogs.
He would do best in a home without kids. He has not physically bitten or drawn blood on anyone before but he has growled when bothered. He is territorial to the couch and shows slight aggression with food and toys and being put in the kennel.
We also have a cat in the house. Because of his breed (terrior) he is prone to chase her and not let her roam but has never been aggressive.
He is extremely sweet and well trained dog. Fully potty trained and goes where asked. He's loving but he's getting older and has shorter tolerance to our home with young kids.
We would love to see him find a home with someone who doesn't have kids and can give him patience and love!
