Feral Friends of Millsboro is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue, founded in 2007 and based in
Sussex County, Delaware.
Our mission is simple: to rescue and rehabilitate homeless, abandoned, and sick cats in need.
Our team of passionate, committed volunteers work tirelessly to provide care,
compassion, and a second chance to the cats who need it most.
We take in those who have been abandoned, surrendered, injured, neglected, or left to survive on their own.
Whether they're strays, pregnant cats, or vulnerable kittens of all ages, we provide them with a safe, nurturing environment, along with medical care, food, and love, until they are ready to find their forever homes.
While the conditions some of these cats arrive in are heartbreaking, we’re devoted to showing them what it means to be truly cared for and loved.
Beyond our rescue efforts, we’re also committed to reducing the feral cat population in Sussex County through the humane practice of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Over the years, we’ve not only cared for numerous colonies but also guided others in their efforts. Our on-site sanctuary is home to over 25 feral cats, where they enjoy a safe and comfortable space, complete with an indoor/outdoor screened-in catio.
Caring for our rescue cats is a 24/7 commitment rooted in unconditional love. The joy of nurturing them back to health and watching them thrive is immeasurable. While it’s hard to let them go when they find their forever homes, we find comfort in knowing we’ve given them a chance at a better life.
