My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whoever adopts this little guy is going to be so lucky! He is smart, outgoing, and friendly with people, dogs and cats. Squirt loves to play and the more toys the better. He is quite adept at amusing himself with whatever stuffed toy he can find to toss around. He loves to play with the other dogs and even tries (unsuccessfully) to play with the cat. If you listen, he will tell you when he needs to go potty and if you get him outside he is quite proud of himself to potty on the lawn. He will also seek out a potty pad in the house in the event nobody is listening to him. This little guy has it all: looks, charm, smarts, and heart. He will be ready for his new family by 10/25. To adopt a new family member from Animal Compassion Team (ACT), you need to fill out our online application.

All adopted animals will be Spayed/Neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated appropriately, provided a full spectrum de-wormer, and have received a flea/tick preventative. I

More about this rescue

The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more than our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with California and the Federal Government. It was and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing, but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we hope to post MANY happy endings.

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond.
