Meet Jackson Rain, a smart, playful, and bouncy boy with a heart as big as his energy! Rescued from a storm after being found huddled in discarded furniture outside an abandoned apartment, this lucky pup eagerly jumped into a Good Samaritan’s car, beginning his journey to a new, happy life.
Now thriving in his foster home, Jackson is making up for lost time with boundless joy and playfulness. He loves romping around, chasing after toys, and, most of all, enjoying his food and treats, which makes him an eager participant in training sessions.
Jackson is crate-trained and finds comfort in his crate, happily relaxing there after meals or settling in for a good night’s sleep. He’s is completely house trained and loves being your co pilot during car rides.
Currently fostered with lab about his same age and weight, Jackson gets along well with him. He would do best in a home with older children, as his playful energy could unintentionally knock over younger ones.
This lovable boy has a healthy love for chewing, but he sticks to his toys and hasn’t shown any destructive behavior—BUT, he loves his box of beneful chew bones . Jackson loves his people and has no problem licking your face, curling up on the couch with you or just lying by you feet on the floor. He does not like to be left alone and will let you know that with a little bit of a whine, but we are working on that.
All in all, Jackson is an absolutely wonderful dog. If you are looking for a dog that will truly love you and appreciate being brought into a forever home Jackson is your man! He loves and he loves hard! Jackson Rain is looking for a forever home where he can continue to grow, play, and bring joy to his family. Could that be you?

More about this rescue
PAWS is comprised of a small group of volunteers from New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/ neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes.
Our mission is to save as many animals as possible, removing them from the shelter, having their veterinary needs met prior to traveling and then finding them loving homes throughout New England. We do this only with the assistance of many people volunteering their time by going to the shelter, transporting the dogs to the vet, fostering dogs who need special care, and arranging for their new and happy homes in this area. Most importantly, we cannot do any of this without those people willing to open their homes and hearts to these lovely creatures.
