My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, hoomans! I’m Hal, the 12-week-old, 19lb bundle of pure puppy joy, and I’m here to steal your heart! I’m 100% puppy and packed full of sass—just ask my foster sister! I’ll play until I’m so exhausted I fall over like a little potato, only to bounce right back up after a quick nap. Seriously, it’s like I’m training for the Puppy Olympics over here! I’m sweet, loving, and just want to be wherever my favorite people are (preferably while being a delightful shadow to my doggie sibling).

Now, let’s get to the juicy stuff about how I found my way to PPFT's fluffy butt family. You see: I may have caused a tiny bit of chaos in my former home. You see, my super cool adult dog sibling was living his best life until I showed up with my irresistible puppy energy. Apparently, my playful antics led to some unexpected bathroom behavior from him—yep, the big guy started urinating all over the house! This had never happened before, and I feel a little guilty that he had to stay outside because of me. I mean, winter is coming, and nobody wants to be out in the cold when they could be cuddling on the couch! So, my family decided it would be best to find me a new home, and surrendered me to PPFT.

Now, let’s talk about my social life! I’m a total social butterfly—make that a social puppy! I adore playing with other dogs; in fact, I thrive in a home with a canine sibling or at least some fun playdates. Imagine me zooming around the yard, getting all my doggy friends to join in a game of "Chase the Fluffy Tail!" And cats? Oh boy, I think I’m just a whisker away from winning them over. I respect their royal feline ways, but I’m also convinced that with my charm and irresistible puppy eyes, they’ll be begging to join my puppy party in no time! And kids? I’m all for making new friends, but I still have some of those pointy puppy teeth that might be a little too much for the tiny ones. So, I’d do best with older kids—let’s say at least six and up—who can handle my enthusiastic puppy love!

When it comes to adventures, I’m all about those car rides! You’ll find me either lying down and chilling like a little potato or sitting up, gazing out the window like I’m the star of my own puppy road movie. Just picture me, wind in my fur, on a grand adventure with my family, aka you ;) ! I’m too young to hit the pet store or café scene just yet, but oh boy, do I dream of the day I can join you for all those fun outings! As for my leash skills? I’m a bit of a prodigy! I’m still learning, but I’ve got the hang of it. I promise not to trip you or tug you off course—unless, of course, I see a squirrel; then all bets are off! And when I meet new people? Get ready for a love-fest! I’m all about the excited greetings, leaning in for some pets, and turning on the charm like a seasoned pro.

Now, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty: my overall temperament. I could play with other dogs all day long—seriously, it’s the best thing in the whole world! Happy-go-lucky? That’s my middle name! I’m like a walking sunshine ray, bursting with energy and ready for adventure. I need a playmate or at least a buffet of stimulating activities to keep this puppy entertained. And you better believe I have my fair share of zoomies! It’s like a high-speed chase, but with me being the main character, and the only one in the "know" about why I am running! As for fetch? What the heck is fetch? I mean, I’ll chase the ball like a superstar, but don’t count on me bringing it back. It’s more of a “you throw it, I chase it, and then it becomes my new best friend” situation. And let’s not forget about water—oh, how I love playing in it! Splashing around like a silly puppy is my idea of a good time! Now, if you’re living in an apartment, I might not be the best fit. I need space to zoom and play like the energetic superstar I am!

Now, onto my potty training situation: I’m still a little young, so I’m working on it. I promise I’m trying—just don’t judge me if I leave a little surprise for you now and then! And guess what? I’m kennel trained! That’s right; I’m a little puppy with big potential! Now, here’s a funny tidbit: I’m not quite ready to jump on the couch yet. I mean, if only I had the jumping skills of a frog! Instead, I’m content to plot my rise to couch royalty from the floor, watching all the action unfold. But when it comes to chewing, watch out! I’ll gnaw on anything and everything—socks, towels, shoes, and even the TV remote. So, if you see a puppy with a remote control in his mouth, just know I’m trying to change the channel to “Puppy Playtime”! Now, about my barking—think of me as a superhero in training! I’m a “Guardian Mode Level 2” barker, which means I only chime in when the other dogs start it. I’m still mastering my superhero skills but rest assured, when I do bark, it’s all part of my top-secret puppy mission.

So, if you’re ready for a loving sidekick who’s full of puppy fun and charm, I’m your guy! Just be warned: I come with a side of irresistible cuteness and an unyielding determination to be your new best friend! Now, let’s get one thing straight: as adorable as I am, I’m not looking to be your “until dog.” You know, the pup you keep around until a baby comes along, or you switch jobs, or life gets busy and you can’t give me all the love I deserve anymore. Nope! I’m a “forever dog,” which means I’m ready to pour my heart, soul, and fluffy self into a lifelong friendship. So if you’re ready for a commitment, let’s make it official, because I’m all in for the long haul! Capiche?!

Until we meet,
Hal <3
