My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Belize
As a 1-year-old stray cat found in Fishers, I am pleased as punch to be named for the country Belize. I'm flattered because I've heard it is beautiful. I am a white and brown tabby fellow. I have been living at the HSHC since September 16, and it has been fantastic! Ever since checking into this cat hostel, I've been treated for my upper respiratory infection and neutered. I have enjoyed fine dining, a private suite and bathroom, and plenty of socialization by the staff and volunteers. I have always been a happy fellow, but being here has made me even happier and more grateful for the TLC. The interviewer lady (IL) was very impressed with my charm, loud purring, and friendly personality. I am all about public displays of affection, and IL gave me a thorough neck and chin rub. I can never get enough pets! I know I haven't been on this planet very long, but if my future includes a loving family and a forever home, I will be the luckiest cat in the world. Please come to the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe to meet me, because I'm ready to check out. 10-23-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
