Looking for a big dog with an even bigger amount of love to give? Well, you don't have to look any further... here she is!
Dahlia is an almost 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Mix. Dahlia is a gentle giant, weighing over 100lbs! Dahlia arrived at WCAS as a transfer from another local shelter, where she was found as a stray, because she was unfortunately not getting the adoption interest she deserves... which we find absurd because she is a once in a lifetime kind of dog!
Dahlia, despite being a big girl, is the a sweet and solid dog. She has participated in playgroups at the shelter with big and small dogs, and has done well. With proper introductions, she may enjoy living with the right canine companion. Dahlia also does very well with respectful, dog-savvy children, and would be a great addition to any family.
Dahlia has great manners, walks well on leash, knows "sit", and is working on many other aspects of training. We have no idea why she hasn't been adopted yet!
If you are interested in meeting Dahlia, please fill out an adoption application on our website, or get in touch with us at wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com for more information!
