My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHEVELLE is a handsome medium-hair senior gentleman with a black coat that has beautiful brown highlights. He is the most laid back, gentle, calm, affectionate and affection-seeking sweetheart of an adult kitty that you’ve ever met (he is estimated to be about 12 yrs old). He was living a very hard life out on the streets until CRAN stepped up and decided to offer him a chance at a safe, cozy indoor life which he has absolutely embraced and loves. He is content with a cozy spot on the couch or a cozy bed by a window to sunbathe. The moment he came into his foster home he was asking for love by giving head butts and purring loudly. He allowed us to bathe him and blow dry him and handle him through all of his treatment (see below), and still he asked for love right after.

When Chevelle was rescued from the streets, he was found with a mass on his face, a bad flea infestation, and severe dental disease. Once the mass was removed, his teeth cleaned, and he was treated for fleas--he is a whole new cat! He has now grown a new coat of fur and loves to eat. It was confirmed that his mass had not spread, and he is completely cancer free.

Chevelle needs a home that will give him all the love he deserves. He was abandoned once but he doesn’t hold that against us and just wants to be loved. He needs a quiet and loving home that will give him a with a lap or two and a cozy bed to sunbathe in.

CHEVELLE is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet CHEVELLE in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID# 2409-C0338

DOB 9/1/2012 (estimated)

CHEVELLE GETS ALONG WITH RESPECTFUL CATS OF ALL AGES, BUT WOULD DO BEST IN A HOME WITH NO YOUNG KITTENS (AS HE IS CALM AND LAID BACK)

WOULD DO WELL WITH A CALM, CAT-SAVVY DOG

WOULD DO WELL WITH GENTLE OLDER KIDS

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
