My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wilma

WILMA, I’M HOOOME!
Wilma is the stunning, long-haired tuxedo queen you didn’t know your life was missing. She strutted in from Texas with her kittens like the boss she is, and now that her little ones have found their way, it’s her time to shine.
This girl doesn’t just get along with people—she thrives with adults, kids, AND cats. Call her name, and she’ll come running faster than Fred Flintstone clocking out of work. Who needs a dog when you’ve got Wilma!

Her hobbies? Whipping up fluffy biscuits full of love (she’s a pro-level baker), leaning in with head boops that could melt the coldest heart, and turning any toy into a comedy show. Her playtime shenanigans will have you rolling on the floor faster than a boulder in Bedrock.

Adoptions made easy – we believe finding your new best friend should be a straightforward and rewarding experience without unnecessary hurdles. Let's make adoption easy and give these beautiful kittens the loving homes they deserve.
Texas Rescue Riders adheres to the National No Kill Advocacy Guidelines, promoting conversation-based adoptions and education to ensure a good home. Adoptions made easy – we believe finding your new best friend should be a straightforward and rewarding experience without unnecessary hurdles.

She has been a joy in our home but now it's time to find her to find a forever home where her charm, playfulness, and affection will be cherished. If you're ready to open your heart to this incredible lady, she's prepared to reciprocate with love and endless charm. Come make Willma's dreams of a forever family come true!

She is fostered in Muskego Wisconsin.
Her adoption fee is $100

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped

Your adoption fee helps finance our mission of rescuing, transporting, and finding homes for additional dogs, puppies, and kittens. We are dedicated to alleviating the severe pet overpopulation crisis in South Texas by bringing as many homeless animals as possible to the northern United States

Additional adoption info

Texas Rescue Riders follows the National No Kill Advocacy Guidelines, which recommend conversation based adoptions and education to find a good home. Ensuring a good home doesn’t require excessive arbitrary rules. Adopters have many options when it comes to finding their new best friend, and making the decision to adopt rather than go to a more convenient pet store or breeder shouldn’t be a difficult process.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are available to meet at their foster homes or local public meeting spots. Adoption events are posted on our Facebook page.

More about this rescue

Texas Rescue Riders appreciates our community's support in bringing dogs and cats from rural Texas into loving homes in the Midwest. Our amazing rescuers in Texas save these animals off the streets, where there is a severe pet overpopulation problem due to cultural differences and year round temperate climate. Texas Rescue Riders is an all inclusive rescue- we rescue first hand, nurse back to health, provide veterinary care, transport and adopt them out on our own. Our journey may begin in Texas, but it lives on in the north with our amazing adopters, fosters, volunteers and collaborating businesses. We are bound by our love of these precious souls who have joined their forever homes - and by those homeless dogs and cats whom we have not yet met - but who are waiting for their chance at happily ever after.
