Meet Amari, a gentle giant with a heart of gold! This laid-back sweetheart is incredibly easygoing with perfect manners. In fact, she seems to be housebroken and even stayed off the furniture, according to the foster who took her out for Dog for the Day. She's gentle with treats and great on a leash. Amari has done well meeting people and other dogs. She also snores adorably when she naps! Bring Amari home, and let her sweet and gentle nature brighten your world!

We have many wonderful pets waiting to be adopted! Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $65 for cats (Dogs over 5 years old, $40). The adoption fee to persons over 55 years old is $40. Adoptions includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, heartworm test, fecal test, and Feline Leukemia/FIV test for cats.

Managed by LifeLine Animal Project, DeKalb County Animal Services provides a humane environment for DeKalb County’s homeless pets. We also provide other services such as veterinary care for our animals including spay/neuter surgeries, pet adoptions, pet reclaims, volunteer programs, foster home programs, rescue group coordination, and other lifesaving programs.
