Maharani isn't letting anything get her down. Her body makes us sad. Especially her crunchy ear that seem to have been neglected her whole life. Maharani is a glass half full of sunshine! She is happy and curious and playful. Maharani is comfortable with all over handling and let us inspect her which made us feel even worse for her prior hardships. She has this pathetic rat tail that might never get hair back on it. The soft pets and kind words made Maharani extra silly and she burst out into the zoomies. She knows some commands, has great leash manners, and is ready for the good life.
Came in as a stray on 9/13/24.
Found with A281529 near 3900 W Gladys, Chicago
Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.
The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
