Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ABOUT SUNFLOWER
Sunflower is a 2-year-old sweetheart! Before making her way to HAP, Sunflower was originally a Texas girl. Despite being bounced around a bit, this girl isn't phased at all! Sunflower LOVES meeting new people and has done well walking with her doggy friends at the shelter! This sweet girl is quick to roll over in order for someone to have full access to pay the tummy tax! One of Sunflower's favorite things is to 'go shopping' in one of the many toy baskets in our facility and she will help herself by throwing herself almost completely into the basket and will take her time searching through until she finds the one her heart desires! Once she's made her selection, she likes to cuddle up with the toy before bringing it in with her into her kennel where she has a huge toy pile of all of her favorite possessions that she's always snuggling with! While she's only been with us less than a month, she has already had many adventures through our Doggy Day Out program. Here's what some volunteers had to say about her:
"Sunflower is the sweetest baby! We walked 5.3 miles at Bellevue Park. Met a couple horses on the trail which I think fascinated her! Had a good time sniffing all around, saw squirrels, people, other dogs and she was fine. She didn't pull on the leash and she was always checking in with me during our walk. She loves pets and has a constant tail wag. I needed to help her into the car because she is a shorty but she had no trouble getting out. She is just the perfect doggo! - Autumn
"I took Sunflower out today! She's such a sweet girl (and very photogenic)! She loved sniffing, watching squirrels, and meeting people. Walked very well on a leash for almost 4 miles! Of course we ended the day with a pup cup. I hope she finds her family soon! - Sydney
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
