My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Give a warm welcome to Chomper from The Land Before Time crew!

Chomper came to TCR as one of four baby boys along with their sweet mom. She was an attentive mom who socialized them well and taught them excellent grooming and litter box manners. Mom recently found her happily ever after and now it's time for the boys to find theirs!

In typical kitten fashion, these brothers are adaptable, curious, cuddly, nebby, energetic, silly, and playful. Their foster parents handle them daily so they are very people-friendly and will seek out rubs and pets. They are super purry when you rub just the right spot. They have met several new people recently and are not shy with strangers.

Current hobbies include:

-Getting a massage from foster dad
-Falling asleep on a warm lap
-Playing "wrestlemania" with the bros
-Playing pawsies under the door
-Pouncing on toys and/or anything toy-shaped

Chomper is a special little guy. He is a fast learner, usually a step ahead of his brothers. He is brave, adventurous, and agile. He's a runner; he's a track star. He (Usain) bolts as soon as a door opens. Like his bro Ducky, he's also a heavyweight wrestler, and always wins the match. He enjoys cuddling and riding around on his foster's back/shoulder. In the kitten room he is quiet until he hears his foster family existing without him on the other side of the door. Then he cries and jumps at the doorknob until he is let out to be with his people. He has a thirst for knowledge and must know what's going on in all corners of the house.

Chomper would love to be adopted with any of his brothers (Ducky, Petrie, Little Foot) or go to a home with another young playful kitty. He would thrive in a variety of homes - with cat-savvy children, other cats, and/or respectful dogs.

Chomper is about three months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Apply to adopt Chomper now if you want a little buddy who will keep you on your toes!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
