My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Jordi

Breed: Great Dane

Sex: Female

Age: 6 months

Weight: 51 lbs

Medical Needs: Recovering from being spayed. 10/8

We recommend talking to your vet about getting a gastropexy done to prevent bloat which is common in Great Danes. This will be the responsibility of the adopter.

Housebroken: For the most part, she gets a little excited when it’s time to go out or if you missed her barking que. She is learning to notify us sooner than later.

Crate trained: Yes however when she has had enough crate time she will sing her song.

She is fed in crate with down time, as well as sleeps.

Good in the car: Yes, usually lays down.

Good on a leash: For a puppy, yes.

Like most puppies, she gets distracted easily.

Energy level: Medium. Def gets the Dane zoomies, loves laying in the grass and chewing on toys or whatever is in her vicinity. Leaves stand no chance.

Need a fenced in yard: No

Dog Friendly: Yes

If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home? No but she loves being around other dogs. Currently residing with 3 older male Danes, older min pin and African Grey Parrot that barks like a dog.

Cat Friendly: Can be tested if needed.

Her foster home has an older partially blind min pin that thinks she’s a cat if that counts. They respect each other.

Kid Friendly: Yes

If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any age with proper supervision. Keep in mind her age & size and that she has no awareness of her size.

Kid tested with a 4 and 2 year old, after the initial sniff she just laid near them as they played.

Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them: Jordi and her 6 littermates made the trek from GA to DE in search of a forever home to share all her love and goofiness for a couple meals a day, lots of toys and attention. Jordi is a quick learner, snacks help the lessons stick. She is entertaining and such a sweetheart as she finds her way in the pack. She is currently fostered with her sister Kennedy and looks to her for guidance with a spark of independence. She loudly voices everyone’s arrival in her field of vision. But than settles right down. It’s her way of telling them she sees them. Never wants to be ignored. Very quickly becoming a couch potato.
