My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is a charming 3-year-old black and tan German Shepherd who was rescued from the Lancaster, CA shelter along with his inseparable best friend, Chico. This dynamic duo shares a deep bond, and they are lovingly referred to as affectionate couch potatoes. Bear and Chico thrive on companionship, delighting in the company of both people and other dogs. While they enjoy their daily walks, they are just as content to curl up together on a soft, cozy surface for some well-deserved rest.

Bear, with his playful spirit, has a special fondness for toys and is always up for a fun game. Both Bear and Chico are neutered, housebroken, and up to date on their vaccinations, making them well-prepared for a loving home. Their easygoing nature and devotion to each other make them a delightful pair, ready to bring joy and companionship to any family willing to welcome them into their hearts and home.

More about this rescue

Shepherd's Paws Animal Rescue was established in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the specific purpose of operating an all breed animal rescue. We are dedicated to providing rescue to abandoned, abused, neglected and homeless animals. We rescue dogs in the United States from imminent death at animal shelters, humane societies, pounds, and from owners who can no longer keep their dogs, and place them into new and permanent adoptive homes.

All of our dogs receive vet care, are up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered.
