Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hank is a bit of a goofball, embodying the typical Great Dane spirit with his love for zoomies after a good rest. Being young, he’s naturally curious and enjoys exploring his surroundings.
Despite his curiosity and occasional bursts of energy, Hank is generally a chilled and quiet dog. He can be a little vocal at times but settles down quickly. He’s very affectionate and loves to be around his people. However, he can be startled by abrupt loud noises and might run if his leash is on the ground, thinking it’s chasing him. Hank has a particular fondness for toys, especially big squeaky balls.
Hank gets along well with our large dog, though we haven’t tested him with cats. Due to his shyness, he would do best in a home with no more than one other dog. We’re not sure how he is with kids, but given his shy nature, a calm and quiet household would be ideal.
He enjoys lounging on dog beds and does well on a leash and in a crate. While he’s had a couple of accidents, he’s improving with potty training. Hank eats very quickly, so a slow feeder and slow water bowl might be beneficial.
We’ve been working on his manners, especially not jumping up when treats or food are involved. He’s starting to learn to sit and wait patiently for his meals. Hank is a real ham for kisses and loves to shower his humans with affection.
All of our Great Danes are altered, if medically possible, fully vetted, micro-chipped, and on heartworm prevention or treatment prior to being adopted. Thank you for considering adopting a rescue dog, you're saving a life when you adopt.

More about this rescue
To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.
To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.
We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
