My older daughter got Zini as a puppy for her high school boyfriend because he wanted a dog. After a year and a half he said he was going to abandon the dog when he moved so we took him in. He is now 8 years old. He was crate trained, lived with an older lab mix dog and a 9 year old girl. We had two dogs already, a shephard mix his size and a smaller corgi mix. He got along fine with the larger dog and tolerated the small one, loved my daughters. He is very intelligent, learning basic commands readily (food motivated) and figured out opening doors from inside and outside with the lever handles. He likes attention but not a cuddler. He doesn't dig or chew things up, barks like crazy at anyone coming to the house. He is used to coming and going with a dog door. He has become intermittently aggressive with the small dog grabbing him by the back of the neck hard enough to draw a little blood so we need to rehome him. We think he would be best as an only dog.
