My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maverick, a charming 6-year-old male American Eskimo with a heart full of love and loyalty! Known for his intelligence and obedience, Maverick thrives in the company of familiar faces. His boundless energy is perfect for those who enjoy outdoor adventures—whether it’s a spirited game of fetch, a camping trip, a hike through nature, or a refreshing swim, Maverick is always ready to join the fun!

While he’s often laid-back, Maverick gets excited in the presence of visitors, making him an energetic presence in any home. Although he hasn’t had formal training, this clever pup knows a variety of commands, including sit, stay, no begging, out, potty, up, down, and even “bang” (play dead). His eagerness to please and love for praise makes him a delightful companion.

Maverick doesn’t have a bite history; however, he prefers to keep a respectful distance from unfamiliar dogs, as he can be a bit defensive of his personal space. He integrates well with familiar furry friends and holds a dominant posture at home, especially with other submissive dogs. Maverick isn’t tested with cats and tends to bark at unfamiliar noises, which helps him be an effective protector and alarm system. Because of his vigilance, he’d thrive in a home without young children—teenagers and older would be ideal.

To keep Maverick happy and healthy, a securely fenced yard is essential. He is sensitive to fish but has no other food issues. His original family lovingly trims his coat to reduce shedding, but when allowed to grow, he sports the full, fluffy look typical of the breed.

If you’re looking for a devoted companion to brighten your days and keep you company on outdoor escapades, Maverick is ready to bring joy to your life!

Maverick is current on vaccinations, has been neutered and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting, call/text Ashley at 801-707-1545 or Jake at 801-803-1781.
