Hi there. My name is Toffee. I. am a 2-year-old chihuahua/spitz mix. I weigh around 15 pounds. I am not shy; I want to be near you and love to snuggle. I get along with dogs. I love to play tug-of-war and wrestle with my foster brothers. I play hard and then have to take naps. I like laying in the sun. I need to be watched as I will eat my toys if they have a squeaker. I have not been around cats. I am good on my leash. I do go into my crate for a treat with a little coaxing. At night, I want to sleep with my foster family. I am semi house-trained, as I do have accidents once in a while. I do not like to be left alone with no Hooman that I can see. So, I prefer someone that is home all day. I know sit, lay, off, down. Additional adoption info

Adoption fees are $225 for dogs over 6 months and $250 for dogs 6 months and younger. This fee includes spay/neuter, rabies shot if dog is over 4 months old, parvo/distemper shots up to the time of adoption, fecal check, microchip, and all dogs are heartworm negative.

Rover Rescue is an all-breed dog rescue group located 40 miles west of Chicago in Aurora, IL. The dogs/puppies in our organization have been rescued from high-kill animal shelters located in Illinois and Indiana.
