My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ryan is a friendly and playful boy who's always up for fun! He's great on a leash and loves to run, making him a fantastic companion for active individuals. Ryan adores attention and is eager to listen and follow his handler's lead. He's very well-behaved, with a wiggly and connected personality that's sure to steal your heart. Treat-motivated and good with small dogs, Ryan would be the perfect addition to a loving home that's ready for lots of love and playtime!

More about this rescue

Paws For Life K9 Rescue pulls its dogs from city and county shelters. Often, we choose dogs in need of socialization and training which we place with our incarcerated trainers throughout California State Prisons.
We do this because they can dedicate all of their time to their rehabilitation. After several months of training, our dogs are ready for family life after completing their AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Some are trained to become service animals for military veterans with PTSD. By lowering euthanasia rates and preparing dogs for service-jobs, PFL is proving that everyone deserves a second chance.
