About Yoyo

Hello everyone,

I'm excited to introduce you to Yoyo, a young, medium-sized chihuahua mix. This charming little fellow is incredibly loyal, devoted, and active, with a strong personality that makes him confident and independent.

Yoyo is a true socialite who gets along well with other small dogs but has not been exposed to larger dogs yet. However, he is not advisable with cats. He is house-trained and responds well to basic commands, making him easily trainable. Regular exercise is essential for keeping Yoyo happy and healthy, as he is full of energy and loves to stay active.

One of Yoyo's unique traits is his dislike for being crated. He has had free range of his foster's home and hasn't caused any damage. He enjoys having access to windows to keep an eye on the world outside, guarding you from the dangers of walking dogs and people passing by. Although he can be quite vocal, he listens attentively and will follow you everywhere. Yoyo prefers your love and attention over treats any day and has learned to share with other dogs in the house.

Yoyo is a cuddler at heart and loves snuggling up with his foster family and other dogs for movie nights. His leash walking skills are improving, though he is still working on building confidence, as he can get a little scared of moving cars and loud noises. When overwhelmed, he'll let you know he'd rather be held. Yoyo enjoys playing fetch and tug, zooming around the yard, and chatting with the neighbors.

This handsome little guy has mastered basic commands like sit, leave it, and drop it, but still needs some work on stay and down. We've been working on preventing "doordashing," and Yoyo is eager to please with positive reinforcement and consistent gentle redirection. He absolutely adores snuggling and kisses and would love to continue learning new skills and tricks with his future family.

If you're looking for a loving and energetic companion, Yoyo might just be the perfect match for you!

Yoyo is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for their age.

More about this rescue

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
