My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gordy is a cute short-haired black male kitten about 14-16 weeks old (DOB about 7/15/24). Little Gordy is a special kitty. He enjoys spending time with other cats and is very affectionate. He seeks lots of cuddles and pets on a daily basis. Gordy will need a home with other cats or animals that he can groom and play with. He lives and gets along well with other cats and respectful dogs. He is VERY playful and active. He loves to play with toys or other cats and is never bored. He likes to be held and to snuggle. He gets along well with cats, and I think he'd be great with dogs and kids. He's negative for feline leukemia and aids, had two distemper vaccines, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, and been vet checked and neutered. Additional vaccines (third distemper and rabies) included in the adoption fee. Preference will be given to adopters who have a young playmate/companion for the kitten. We do not adopt kittens less than 6 months old to homes where they will be a solo pet. If interested in this cutie pie, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 or hhfrey1@tds.net

We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. The majority of our cats and kittens come from high kill shelters. Through our application and interview process, we strive to make the 'purrfect' match to insure a loving, lifelong home for those in our care. We do NOT receive funding from any national organization, federal or state governments.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

At this time we are not attending adoption fairs. To adopt, we ask that you first complete an application (email hhfrey1@tds.net to request and indicate the cat(s) of interest). Approved applications will be allowed to meet the cat in a home environment. Completing the application does not obligate you to adopt.

More about this rescue

Stray Connection is a small organization of private foster homes (no shelter or store-front) that takes in kittens/cats from shelters outside of Knoxville that are typically high-kill, low-funded. These cats are brought to Knoxville where they receive the necessary vet care. Because our cats live in private homes, we know them well. It is our mission to make the best match of the cat's personality and individual needs with an approved adopter.
