My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️
💟Available to fly to ATLANTA💟

Meet Gowoon💖

• Interaction with People: Gowoon is still not accustomed to human touch. She allows gentle, cautious petting and can manage soft touches but reacts defensively if touched too suddenly.
• Interaction with Dogs: She gets along well with calm dogs with a similar demeanor and appreciates dogs that approach her gently.
• Separation Anxiety: She lives in a group setting at the shelter, so it’s unclear if she has separation anxiety.
• Potty Training: Currently, she only practices outdoor potty as she lives in the shelter.
• Hygiene: Gowoon is not yet comfortable bathing or brushing due to her unfamiliarity with human contact.
• Walks: She is afraid of hands reaching for her to attach a leash, which has prevented her from going on walks.
• Car Sickness: Travels well in a car without any signs of motion sickness.

💌Special Notes💌
• Gowoon struggles to take treats from hands but is gradually learning to accept them. She prefers eating treats that are placed around her.
• She is frightened by loud noises and sudden movements. Slow, deliberate movements around her can help her feel more secure and comfortable.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
