My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tetris is here to give black cats the cute and cuddly reputation they deserve! She is a bit timid when she first meets new people, but once she's warmed up to you she wants all the attention. She loves to be pet and she's a big fan of playtime, anytime! She always game to chase around one of her favorite string toys. Tetris likes to be high up so she can look out upon her whole kingdom; you can always find her atop her cat tower or up on countertops peering down at you. Her signature move is rolling over at your feet for some belly rubs while serenading you with her classic chirping meow. She would thrive best in a fairly quiet/stable home that will be able to give her the time she needs to adjust to a new environment. And she would love to have another kitty playmate with her to keep her company while the humans are away at work or school. She's so ready for her forever home and to give lots of love and cuddles to her new family!

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
