Name: Brin
Breed: Your guess is as good as ours!
Age: Approximately 4 years old
Background: Brin came to us from a rough home environment, and we were told she was kept confined in the garage most of the time.
Personality: Brin was very scared when she first came to the shelter, particularly around men. She wouldn't trust us to take her on a walk and only wanted to stay in her kennel. But after a week and a half she started opening up and trusting us to take her out to walk and play. She's become a love bug, always excited to see us and pushes herself on us for pets (especially back scratches)! She is a very sweet, loving girl who would be a great family pet.
Ideal Home: She was surrendered with another dog and was very scared of that dog, but has shown small signs of wanting to play with some of the other dogs here at the shelter. She would be an ideal single pet, but under the right circumstances could get used to other dogs, and we always recommend a meet and greet before adoption!
Final Thoughts: Brin has done a complete 180 since she came into the shelter. She's gone from terrified of interactions with people to excitement every time she sees us approach. She's a testament to how trusting dogs can be when given time, and would make a wonderful addition to your home.
