My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, gentlemeow, affectionate

Meet Umbra, the most distinguished of all gentlemen! This kitty's glamor tabby-tuxedo coat is only an accessory to his politeness and amity. He is generally very calm and reserved - but, when nobody else is around to peek, he'll come out to you purring, ready to pour out all his affection. He'll rub his face into your hand and snuggle up against you in bed!

Umbra loves hiding spots, especially in new environments. He hasn't been at APA! long, and is still settling in. For now, he's quite cautious around strangers, but with lots of patience and treats, he'll undoubtedly be begging you for attention in a flash. Pro tip: laser pointer and fishing toy play seshes are a great way to build trust by helping him interact with you!

Umbra and his brother, Fat Fat, were adopted together four years ago as kittens and have been together forever. They are bonded, and must be adopted as a pair. Learn about Fat Fat here: http://bit.ly/3AEVClp and let us know if you'd like to meet them!

If we haven't already emphasized this enough, Umbra is an incredibly sweet guy! As soon as he wakes up from a nap, he will immediately come to you with a gentle meow, start his purr motor, and brush himself against you. When he comes to you in bed he will snuggle against you purring loudly.

Umbra and his brother have had positive experiences with dogs and kids. This pair would thrive in any home that can provide them a safe and comfy environment to adjust in. Umbra will especially be initially cautious---which makes sense because he was just separated from his beloved human - and home! - of four years. They still have each other, and both have a lot of love to give---double the love with two of them! So don't hesitate to schedule a meeting with them to sample a taste of their sweet charm!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
