My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Ingrid. I am a young adult black cat with the softest and shiniest fur and striking yellow eyes. When I first came off the streets and into a foster home I was known for being angry and resentful. That phase lasted about a week and I have come an awfully long way since. I now like to cuddle. Sit in front of the TV and call me over with a Churu lickable treat in hand and I will hang in your lap forever! Need somebody to keep you warm in winter? I am your pussycat!
I am very easy going. I have been eating wet food from Friskies, Fancy Feast and Nulo, and I like to have dry food (Science Diet or IAMS) to snack on during the day– plus fresh water. I am a lady and I always use the litter box. I am a devotee of cardboard scratchers and appreciate the variety in them. I don’t think I have met small children or dogs, but with close supervision and a calm approach I think I would get along fine with them.
**Will be available to meet with starting Thursday 10/17**

More about this shelter

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
