My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Papaya

This sweet little boy is approximately 10 weeks old! He is house trained, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and will be neutered once he is old enough! Until he is fixed he will be Foster-to-Adopt!

Papaya is a sweetheart who never stops purring. He has always been pretty quiet, but has started to come out of his shell and is really starting to play with his brother. He is not as outgoing as his brother, Pear, but he loves people and enjoys sitting on them whenever they are available. He is currently living in a home a with a dog and kiddo, and does well with both.

If this baby sounds like the right fit for you, please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form.

As we are a rescue group, we don't have a shelter, just loving foster homes throughout Muskoka. Please contact us to make an appointment to see an animal.

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.

We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.

We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.

We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals.
